Truly Daddy's Girl

I'm not sure how it came about that Hannah is OCD about getting messy. If she sees a spot on anything she points it out and says, "mommy, mommy!" and will not stop until I clean it up. Anyway, I got out the pumpkin to carve today and thought she would have fun helping me. She wouldn't touch it! She just kept looking at me, then looking at the pumpkin. I would say "do you want to put your hands in here and help Mommy?" she would say "no", I asked several times and she just looked at me like I was crazy. So Mommy cleaned out the pumpkin by herself as always...no chance Daddy would help...he might get messy too! Maybe, Benjamin will carve pumpkins with me next year! One can only hope one other family member won't mind getting messy!

Trick or Treating at the Zoo and Party

Costumes

These are the original costumes I had for the babies. You will notice in other posts I have two bumble bees and no Tigger! Where did I go wrong?! Theses babies would rather be bumble bees than TIGGER!

Someone gave us our first bee costume - it is more suited for Benjamin because of the size. However, we ooohed and ahhhed too much over him in it and Hannah insisted we try it on her. The next day she went straight to the bee costume and asked to put it on. It fit her okay but was a little tight. So we thought that she could be a bee and Benjamin Tigger (although several agreed Benjamin was cutier in the bee costume).

Anyway, as things go when you have a Grani around, a costume was found on ebay to match Benjamin's bee costume. And since Grani doesn't know how to do ebay Mama got on there and bought the bee costume (so yes, I played a role in Hannah getting what she wanted...I admit...but she is so cute as a bee too!).

Part of what made both of them being bees so cute is that Sears had a contest going on and you could go in and get your child's pictures taken in their costumes. You would get a free 8X10 and then be entered in the contest. So we took our cute little bees to Sears and it was as bad as last time we went there. They were both coughing and had runny noses so they didn't feel good, but had been in good moods all day....until we get to Sears. Finally, we left, no pictures...oh well...we will stick to Portrait Innovations...they have a way of getting pictures even if the kids aren't cooperating.

Well, that is enough rambling on. Hope you enjoy my cute little bees.

Quilt

Here are the quilt pieces from Hannah and Benjamin's adoption parties! Aren't they fun! Anyway, one day we will sew them and they will be even more fun. Benjamin needs a few more uncles and aunts to sign a square and then they will both be ready for sewing! I just thought you guys might like a preview.

Cards

I recently made a ton of cards for our church's fall festival - well, I only sold 5! So anyway, I have put up the cards I made on another blog, if you are interested in buying any of them let me know. Also, I can make cards for you too. If you see a design you like and you want me to make a set for you, let me know. Below are a few I have made.

Look At What I Can Do!

Benjamin has been pulling up using our arms the past few days. Well, I few minutes ago I looked over and he had reached up to the hearth and pulled himself up on it. I was no where near him! He did it all by himself! He stood there long enough for me to find the camera, put batteries in it, and take a few pictures! As you can see in the last picture he did eventually lose his balance and he fell.

Photo Shoot

So we tried taking all 5 grandbabies on my side of the family to get their picture taken. Our appointment was at 10:00, around 11:30 or 12:00 we took at lunch break and returned to view the pictures. The manager met us and said, "I'd like to try to get some better shots, since we didn't get very many the first time." So we tried again, it was more difficult than the first time around. By that time Haven had decided she was done with pictures. We even sank so low to bribe her with a My Little Pony if she would only smile. The babies were tired and Benjamin (my smiler) had been sick and all he wanted to do was sleep! Hannah of course never smiles for a photographer unless she is in an exceptionally good mood and Mama can tickle her. No tickling, singing, or dancing would work! Elam just wanted to run and would only smile if he was running out of the picture! We didn't leave Sears until 2:30! Remember, our appointment was at 10:00!
Hannah would not stay laying down and Elam kept walking way! As you can see Haven doesn't like where she was told to sit!
Gibson, the only happy one
Gibson the only happy one!
No smiles! but all are sitting still for a second! Only because Aunt Christy and the photographer are yelling, jumping up and down and shaking a loud shaker.
Once again, Gibson, the only happy one, but at least we got them all to lay still for a second!
