Skip Crawling?

Hannah LOVES to stand up - she has since 2 or 3 months (maybe earlier I can't remember)! She did not pull herself up on this toy but she can balance herself. She was holding onto the chair earlier and took a step! However when she is finished she just lets go! And of course she falls! But I think she wants to skip the crawling stage!

Visiting Uncle Johnny and Aunt JuJu

I didn't get a chance to post these pictures earlier. On the way home from Oklahoma we called Uncle Johnny and Aunt JuJu to see if we could stop and see them. It was "Meet the Teacher" day at their school but it didn't start until 1:00 so they told us to go ahead and stop by. So we got to stop in and see their new school and Aunt JuJu's classroom. It was a lot of fun to see them!

Food Glorious Food!

Hannah LOVES food! She didn't like it when she was 4 months old, she would cry whenever I tried to feed her. But now she devours it! We started with rice cereal and it didn't quite agree with her (don't get me wrong she liked it lets just say we needed to add a little fiber to her diet!) so a couple of days later we tried adding sweet potatoes. That didn't seem to help the belly problems so I changed her to oatmeal cereal and added some prunes. In the end adding a little Karo syrup to her bottle helped everything (I'm sure along with the prunes!).

So on a normal day she has cereal w/prunes in the morning, sweet potatoes at lunch, and cereal or sweet potatoes at dinner (or sometimes both). Greenbeans are next!

Daddy says Hannah is trying to look like him with a gotee!

My New Highchair

Hannah is now 6 months old! We started solid foods when she was 4 months old but had to quit because of the rashes she kept getting. Well, we have eliminated food as a cause for the rash so we have started up again....so I got out her new high chair the other day. These pictures are from the first time she sat in it. She loves it!

Baby Elam

Well, it looks like we will be able to meet baby Elam before we leave Oklahoma. Haley is in the hospital now and they will induce sometime either in the middle of the night or tomorrow morning. I imagine he will come fast once they start inducing since she has already progressed some on her own.

We may be OK an extra day now but I guess that is okay. If Daniel weren't going to be out of town it might not be okay but since he will not be home until Sunday night it should be fine!

WE MISS YOU DADDY!

New Cousin Updates

For new cousin updates and updates on our trip to Oklahoma (including pictures of Hannah) click on the link Papa's Grandbabies. He is updating with pictures and information. Hannah does not have a new cousin yet - he is taking his time getting here. I don't have my cord here in OK to transfer pictures to the computer so you will have to check out my Dad's blog.
