Poor Baby

Okay, so you know we have been to the doctor at least once a week since around April 16. I cannot keep Hannah well. She has always had problems with mucus and throwing up. It is getting worse. We have tried Allegra, Dicel DM, Zyrtec, and Singulair. so far nothing has helped. Today she threw up all morning and coughed non-stop, in fact she woke up in the night coughing. So I called the doctor. I told her she is worse. I took her in. After describing her throwing up and the doctor hearing her cough, and listening to her chest she said, "I think we are going to have to do a breathing treatment." At first Hannah was intrigued by the machine but after a few minutes had passed she was screaming, hitting, scratching, and telling me she was all done. They sent a machine home with us to do treatments tonight and she got a steroid shot. She did better with her first treatment here at home but she had a video to watch! If she keeps coughing and throwing up I'm supposed to call and they want to send her to the hospital. I asked if it was asthma and the nurse said they don't diagnose asthma in such little patients. But they seem to be treating her like it is asthma and they want me to continue giving her allergy medicine as well.

Hannah's Room

Our project this weekend was to rearrange rooms, paint rooms, and make sure all four of us had a room to sleep in. We finished our room, painting and wallpapering, on Saturday. Then we started on Hannah's room. We got the whole room painted and now I am painting a border around the wall. Then I will stamp butterflies, dragonflys, and lady bugs all over the rest of the wall. We were going to paint her toy box but ran out of blue paint. I might just paint her toy box, dresser, and bed white, whenever I get a chance to buy white paint.

When it is completely finished I will show you the final product, but here is the border.

It seems like Benjamin is getting bigger/older faster than Hannah did! I guess time goes faster when your chasing a one year old too!

We started VBS tonight and Hannah and Benjamin had a class. They came home with baseball cards around their necks and tatoos on their faces. They learned that Mary and Joseph did what God said. Their memory verse is "Do What God Says" Deut. 5:32. "Real Heros do What God Says"



I love it that the babies have a class, with a lesson, too. I'm glad Lifeway includes them in the material and that our church bought the stuff for it!



I helped teach the 2s,3s, and 4s. And I won't say that I will never do it again, because I probably will when Hannah and Benjamin are in there. But I would almost say never again. They were wild! I came home and had to take Tylenol to calm my pounding head! I guess it has been awhile since I've taught that age group! I don't remember them being so bad! I taught mission friends (which is preschool) in Martin and I think I did it by myself with no problem - I LOVED it. Tonight was total chaos and they don't mind (mind meaning listen and behave and we were talking about obeying in our lesson!) at all! AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FINALLY ANOTHER BOY!

Will is so happy to finally have a boy cousin! First comes his sister Alex, then Grace Ann, then his sister Sophie, he held out hope that Uncle Daniel and Aunt Christy would get a boy and then his Mom says, "It's a girl - Hannah!", and then maybe, just maybe Uncle Aaron and Aunt Johnna - nope, along came Catherine! 5 girls! He just couldn't believe it! But finally a boy has arrived, thank goodness for Benjamin!

Mother's Day Gift

Daniel asked me what I wanted for Mother's Day. I told him I wanted a picture frame for our family photo. So that meant we had to get a family photo. Here are some of the pictures we had taken last night (uncropped), we also got some of Benjamin since he is now 3 months old.

So, we have all felt so sorry for Hannah because she can't eat cookies, cake, ice cream, chocolate, etc. Well, the other day I was eating Oreo's and starting reading the ingredients. Suprisingly there is no milk, eggs, or soy in them! There is chocolate but it is the last ingredient on a long list of ingredients, so I'm not too worried about that.

Soo...I gave her one! She liked it! Mainly the cream in the middle!

Elam's Visit

Since I haven't posted in awhile I will be adding several today! It has been a quite busy two weeks. Hannah went to the doctor for an ear infection on May 1, Haley and Elam came to visit on May 3, then we had a big youth fundraiser on May 5, it went well but I left early to take Hannah to the doctor because she had a 103.7 fever the night before. That was the beginning of my trips to the doctor, if you count the times I took Hannah and Benjamin it would add up to 6-7 times (although it was really just 4 visits since she saw both of them at once, twice). Hannah ran fever for a week! They said it was a virus and by Thursday, May 11, she was finally feeling herself again. On Wednesday night, May 10, we left for Oklahoma, we were in Oklahoma for a couple of days and then on the way home we stopped in Little Rock for my cousin's wedding. We got home at 12:30AM Monday morning, May 14. So - that is the story of why there have been no posts in two weeks!
