Happy Adoption Day, Hannah!

Two years ago today Hannah officially became ours! Each year we will not only celebrate birthdays but we will celebrate adoption days too! On the way to church this morning I told Hannah that today was Adoption Day and this is the day that we celebrate how God was faithful to bring Mama and Daddy a baby and how we praise Him because Hannah is a part of our family. Then we listened to "Hannah's Song" (a.k.a. Great is thy Faithfulness by Sara Groves).

My camera is dead so I don't have any pictures of our day.

The most fun we had today was when Mama and Hannah went outside in the rain and splashed on Grammy and Poppy's deck. Hannah wanted to go outside and I told her it was raining and I realized in her two short years of life we have never played in the rain! I couldn't let her miss out on that, especially on adoption day, so we took our socks off and out we went! She wanted to go out again later but I figured one time was enough for today!

Since we couldn't really bake a cake or anything we just go her a present. We got her a game for her V-Smile Baby Game System. She and Mama played it for awhile before she went to bed. We had fun!

Being Two at the Zoo

This is the start of a fit....not sure what it was about...I think she wanted to go the other way....

After the fit she wanted to roll the suitcase (a.k.a. our pinic lunch suitcase) ALL BY HERSELF! NO MAMA, I DO IT! So we SLOWLY made our way of the zoo as she rolled the suitcase that is about as big as she is!

Zoo Trip

Hannah loved the alligators! We had a hard time getting her to leave. All the way to the zoo she talked about seeing the snakes at the zoo. We did see lots of snakes, lizards, turtles, fish and iguana (all of Hannah's favorite animals - not girly animals but that is okay, she also likes sharks and dinosaurs!)

thought she was wearing a dress....hmmmm....I guess I have taught shirt and shorts yet!

Don't worry the cut underneath the bandage is not as bad as it looks
Hannah scratches non-stop, she opened up a place on her arm from
scratching, it healed and she scratched it and made it bleed again,
she won't leave it alone so I keep guaze and tape around it hoping it
will heal and not get infected!

Big Boy

My little baby is growing up, he can drink from a straw...he did it on the first try! It took Hannah forever to learn how to drink from a straw and he can climb in the rocking chair all by himself!

Dancing

This was not posed....they did this on their own...I walked in on them
dancing together and I ran to get the camera...surprisingly they were
still dancing when I got back with the camera.

What? No Kids? Explained...

So some of you mis-read/mis-interpreted what my last post was saying...

The "What? No Kids?" was referring to the fact there were no kids in the pictures! I thought I had explained it well enough but the grandparents who have kept our kids numerous times in the last two years wanted to be sure to get credit for letting us have nights (multiple) out in the past two years.

So...

Yes, we have had nights out with out the kids

No, we have not posted pictures of just the two of us since Feb. 2006 - the main point of my last entry.

So there you go...just a bit of explanation to keep my fans happy!

What? No kids?

We went out for our friend's birthday on Saturday and left the kids with Grammy and Poppy, so here are some pictures of just us! Has that actually happened since February 2006? I really don't think it has. Hope no one is too mad at me for not putting up any of the kids. I did take some pictures of us playing outside yesterday. Maybe I will put those up soon. I have lots of new medications I'm going to try out tomorrow so we will see if I can finally get over all the sinus/allergy problems I'm having where I actually feel like doing something!

Walking!

Benjamin has never even attempted a step before tonight and all of a sudden tonight he just took off! He didn't take just one little step he took about 5 steps and then did it over and over again! Wow!
