Smile, Smile, Smile

Draft Weekend

This weekend was the NFL draft and so the boys wanted to get together to watch it. I had found a Titans onesie for Benjamin so he wore his Titans outfit and the boys and some of the girls had their jerseys too! We borrowed jerseys for the family picture.

Happy Adoption Day Hannah!

'
Friday, April 27 was Hannah's adoption day. We celebrated by singing Happy Adoption Day and Mommy made her a special egg, milk, and soy free cake - yum, yum! We intend to finish the celebration at Build a Bear on May 19. If you go to Build-A-Bear May 19 you can make a bear for free to donate to a child who is waiting to be adopted. So we thought we would make one for a child waiting and then let her make one too!

Everyone singing Happy Adoption Day to you!
Hannah eating her first cake! She mainly ate the part with the icing - I don't blame her!
Uncle Jonny and Mommy were the only ones brave enought to try the cake!

Bugs!

I just have to say that I am so happy to finally have my baby boy so I can put clothes on him with bugs, lizards, turtles, snakes, frogs, etc. Plus they make a lot more little boy clothes with Tigger on them!

Helping Mommy

Hannah has just recently been able to follow instructions. One day while I was feeding Benjamin I was thinking about how I needed to clean up the living room, especially all of the Easter eggs scattered. So I looked at Hannah and said "Hannah, why don't you pick up your Easter eggs and put them in the basket." I was really just saying it knowing there was no way she would do that but to my surprise she walked over, picked up her basket, and started putting eggs in it! I had no idea she could comprehend a two part command like that! Wow!

So now she helps me put her blocks away and sometimes other toys. She also helps me load and unloan the dryer. Although I have to watch her because sometimes when I'm reaching to get clothes from the washer she starts putting the already clean and dry clothes back into the dryer!
