Easter Sunday

These are the only pictures I got of them in their Easter outfits. Daniel was home sick so the kids and I went to church alone. Now all 4 of us are sick!

Relay for Life

So, I hate to ask for money....but, our church is participating in the Relay for Life that is coming up in our community. Daniel and I have joined the team. We are each supposed to raise $150. If you feel led to contribute to our teams we would greatly appreciate it. I know most all of you have been touched by cancer in one way or another so you realize the importance of funding more research. Anyway, we appreciate your help. We each have a page so donate to either one of us, we both need it! Click on my name or Daniel's name below to donate.

Thanks!
Christy

Videos for Aunt Haley

This video if you can't understand all of it, at first she is saying "Oh, Wow! Aunt Haley!" In the previous video, that I didn't post on here, she kept wanting to look for Aunt Haley in the video because I was saying, "Tell Aunt Haley your Bible Verse" hahaha...it was pretty funny!

For some reason she kept leaving out "children" and she has trouble with the word "your" so most of the time she leaves it out. The way we taught it to her is "Children obey your Mommy and Daddy"

So the other day I told her to stop touching the t.v., and she said "why?" yes, believe it she is already talking back and already asking why...I agree, it is too early. So I replied "Because Mommy said so" (I don't think I said and you need to obey Mommy...but maybe I did...), she replied by saying "children obey your Mommy and Daddy" I couldn't believe it! She actually put into practice the verse. She is too smart for her own good I think!

P.S. Sorry for the lack of pants...we are potty training so she doesn't wear pants most of the time, it saves on laundry and it is easier to get to the bathroom with less things to pull down!

Little Man

Here are some cute pictures of our little man ready for church yesterday. He still isn't walking. Dr.Mishu said he would walk by Easter and to quote her "don't make me wrong", she said Hannah would walk by Christmas and she did, however, Easter is just a few days away, I'm thinking she might be wrong this time!

SNOW!!!!!

Hooray, they actually got a forecast right for once and we DID get snow! I'm not sure how much we actually got, before I went to bed last night it was 2-3 inches and it was still snowing at 5:00AM when I looked out the window, so we may have gotten up to 4 - not sure because it was already melting when we got up! I was nervous that I wouldn't have time to feed and dress the kids before too much of it melted....but it hung around and we got to build a snowman! I haven't built a snowman since I lived in Martin - almost 10 years ago! Wow! They said the last snow in TN over 2 in. was in 2003! So we made the most of it and played out in it in case it is another 5 years before we get another snow we can play in!

Daddy working on his second huge ball for the snowman, the first one was bigger and it shattered, the other ball is the one Mommy made for the middle of the snowman

Hannah doesn't know what to think about this thing Mommy and Daddy have made. She did help pick out the arms.

Hannah didn't really like the snow, she refused to touch it, she would not help build the snowman. She just walked around, watching her footprints. Daniel threw a snowball at the house and she cried, she didn't like that one bit. (oh, yes, she is throwing a fit in the first picture, she didn't want her picture taken so she threw herself on the floor, then she couldn't get up because she had so many layers on!)

Benjamin pretty much hated being out in the snow. I sat him on his car because he wouldn't do anything. The only reason he is crawling in the last three pictures is because he wanted Mama. I had to hold him the rest of the time we were outside.

Mommy and Daddy LOVED the snow. We had fun building the snowman and after we put the kids back in the house we had a small snowball fight!

"Brown Baby"

So in 2006 our (extended) family grew by leaps and bounds - Sophie, Hannah, Catherine, and Elam were born. 2008 is round 2 (except some of the people having/getting babies are different) - Aunt Johnna is due in June, Aunt Mel is due in July, Aunt Haley is due in Oct., and Uncle Jonny and Aunt JuJu could bring home a baby at any time! We are VERY excited to be adding nieces and/or nephews to our family!

So Haley told her kids she was going to have a baby, you will have to check out their blog for the cute little dialog they had about it. After their little dialog she videoed each kid and asked them what they thought about getting a new baby and also asked what kind of baby they wanted (meaning boy or girl). Well, Haven's response was that she wanted a "brown baby"! How cute is that?! HAHAHA Click here to see the video

Our nieces and nephews have been confused by us, it is hard to understand why Uncle Daniel and Aunt Christy have a brown baby and they can't have one! Hehe....I'm glad they love our little brown baby so much that they want one too!

A friend of mine told me that her little girl asked for a brown baby doll the other day! So fun that these kids will grow up not having a negative view toward other races because they have brown babies (and maybe other race babies) in their family. Color won't be an issue for them like it is for so many. How wonderful!

Cutest Little Brown Baby in the WORLD!

Benjamin and his cake!

Benjamin throughly enjoyed his cake! It was his first REAL cake. On his birthday he had Hannah friendly cake, which is nothing compared to the real stuff! He loved it so much he picked up the plate to lick the plate! It was so funny, we started laughing at him so of course he played it up and put the plate back on his face, then on his head, etc. Needless to say, Grani gave him a bath promptly after the cake! Oh and he does not like ice cream! I imagine it is because it is cold.
This is his face after a bite of ice cream

Birthday Party Part 2

We were lucky to have such a pretty day. Hannah has been begging me to play outside on her new slide and I have been telling her it is too cold. Finally, she got to play out and she was so happy! We even got to go to the park Sunday after church to play!

Opening Presents: Hannah had a good time opening presents, the first thing she opened was a thing of bubbles and she wanted to play with them right then, we had to convince her to open more presents. Benjamin would not come over and open his presents. Aunt Ashley and Uncle Andrew were trying to help him but he just was not interested. He would every now and then look at something Hannah had opened. We tried to convince him he had his own presents but he just didn't get it! So Aunt Ashley and Mommy had fun opening his gifts!

After the party Grace Ann, Uncle Adam, and Aunt Mel stayed around to play for awhile!
The new cars from Grammy and Poppy!
Hope you enjoy the collages, I took over 100 pictures at the party so I thought in order to give you a good idea of how the party went you needed to see some collages!

Boz Party - Part 1

Mama's attempt at a Boz face cake!

Papa and Grani made them shirts with Boz, the back said "Benjamin 1" on his shirt and "Hannah 2" on her shirt.

The party guests that were brave enough to wear a Boz hat
