"...and Benjamin too!"

So I don't write a whole lot on here. I don't want to bore you to death and I know you are here for the pictures. But, Hannah is talking non stop now and it is just too cute not to share some of the things that she says.

Right now her most common phrases are:
"and Benjamin too" and she says Benjamin very plainly, most often it is "I want fries, and Benjamin does too!" or Hannah it is time to play in your room, "and Benjamin too?" We are about to go bye-bye, "and Benjamin too?"

"help, help" and you get up to help her, when you get there she says "I got it"

Mama: "Hannah what is your Bible verse?"
Hannah: "Bible, Children, obey your daddy and mama"
We were having her repeat her verse word by word in the past, on the way home from church on Sunday Daniel asked her what she learned at church, she didn't answer, so I asked if she had a Bible story and she said "bible?" and then out came the above verse with no prompting, plain as day, Daniel and I looked at each other shocked and then promptly called our parents to brag on her!

Today she and I went out to get the mail. There was a package in the mail from Aunt Haley to Hannah and Benjamin. My Mom was over a the house. She ran in the house with the package yelling "Grani, Grani, a package, a package, and Benjamin too!" "help, help!" meaning help me open the package!

She has also learned the word secret and she kept telling us she had a secret and she would whisper non-sense in our ears.

Anything pink is "pink like the lady in pink" today her pacifier is pink and she said "mama, pink like the lady in pink" and "chocolate milk like the lady in pink" The lady in pink is a character on a Backyardigan's movie that she got for Christmas, and they drink chocolate milk in the movie.

She also says:
"thank you, Mommy"
"yes ma'am and yes sir"
"sorry"
"please"
Counts to 20
and tons more! She talks non-stop so it is hard to record all she says. At this point most of the time I know what she is talking about.

Hannah's Birthday Dress

Great-Grandma Gwartney sent this dress to Hannah for her birthday. Doesn't she look pretty? Mama braided her hair, who would have ever imagined Mama EVER braiding someone's hair!

Cute Pics

Sisterly Love

I was on the phone with Daniel the other day and saw Hannah hugging and kissing Benjamin (a bit rough but somewhat sweet). Benjamin thought it was fun, he was laughing. So I happened to have the camera nearby.

Benjamin's New Habit

Benjamin has started crawling around with things in his mouth. It can be anything, usually toys, the other day he had a valentine in his mouth crawling around. I remember when my niece Grace Ann used to do that. We thought she was imitating her dog...maybe Benjamin is imitating our dog, I don't know...

AND OF COURSE HANNAH HAS TO IMITATE EVERYTHING BENJAMIN DOES - GOOD AND BAD!

Christy the Cook

Okay - I need your help, because unlike what the title of this entry says, Christy is not a cook. I am starting a BIG, HUGE, ENORMOUS, project and I could use your help. My first step is to look through all of my cookbooks and find meals that I think Hannah can eat. I will write those down to try out in the next several months. Her skin has gotten so much better that this is the best thing I can think to do. We will have to eat at home the majority of the time to keep her feeling good!

So...do you have favorite, simple recipes...by simple I mean as few ingredients as possible. Also, they cannot have cheese (a big problem for Daniel and I since we cover everything with cheese) or sour cream. If they have butter, milk, and eggs I can probably find a substitute so go ahead and send me those. You can post here or e-mail me. Most of you know how to get me by e-mail.

Thanks for your help!

Let them eat cake!

So as you all know Hannah is allergic to eggs, milk and corn. It gets pretty tricky since those ingredients are in normal cake mix and icing. So Grani made special cake Hannah could eat and we attempted 7 min. frosting with egg replacer, well apparently egg replacer doesn't firm up like if you beat a real egg. We tried twice and gave up. So the kids ate cupcakes with sugar sprinkled on top, no icing. Benjamin didn't seem to mind. However, Hannah still has an aversion to sweets, I guess 'cus anytime she has ever tried cake or cookies she has immediately thrown up - can anyone blame her for not wanting to try it again?

Fun Birthday - Part 2

Not Walking yet, but look how well he is standing alone! It will be any day now!
Hannah is excited about this gift from Grani and Papa, if you look closely you can see her face, I almost cut her out of the picture!
Grani and Papa got the kids a tent with tunnels, they had so much fun crawling in them, Daddy had fun too!

Fun Birthday - Part 1

Well, we had to postpone our Boz the Bear birthday party. The doctor said Hannah has hand, foot, mouth disease, it is a virus that is very contagious for 5-7 days. However, her fever is gone and she feels fine, so she is still going to have a fun birthday! Mommy and Daddy got Hannah and Benjamin a slide for their birthdays. We let them see it this morning and Hannah cried all morning wanting to slide. During her nap Daddy put it together and as soon as she got up we went outside to play. Benjamin was still sleeping so we will go out again with him in a little while.

It's Valentine's Day Too!

This week is full of holidays for our family. We did (sort of) celebrate Valentine's Day today too...Mama and Daddy went out Tuesday for V-day. Today Hannah gave Daddy the Valentine she and Benjamin made and she wore her heart shirt!

Opening Presents with Grani and Papa

Both of my babies are sick today...very sad since it is Benjamin's birthday and Hannah and Benjamin's party is Saturday! I'm hoping we don't have to cancel the party. As you can see from the pictures Benjamin wasn't feeling well during the present opening. However, I did get one picture of him smiling. Normally we would have gone to Chuck E Cheese tonight but Hannah's fever is 103 and so we couldn't get out! Maybe in a few days we can go and celebrate.
