Poor Baby

Okay, so you know we have been to the doctor at least once a week since around April 16. I cannot keep Hannah well. She has always had problems with mucus and throwing up. It is getting worse. We have tried Allegra, Dicel DM, Zyrtec, and Singulair. so far nothing has helped. Today she threw up all morning and coughed non-stop, in fact she woke up in the night coughing. So I called the doctor. I told her she is worse. I took her in. After describing her throwing up and the doctor hearing her cough, and listening to her chest she said, "I think we are going to have to do a breathing treatment." At first Hannah was intrigued by the machine but after a few minutes had passed she was screaming, hitting, scratching, and telling me she was all done. They sent a machine home with us to do treatments tonight and she got a steroid shot. She did better with her first treatment here at home but she had a video to watch! If she keeps coughing and throwing up I'm supposed to call and they want to send her to the hospital. I asked if it was asthma and the nurse said they don't diagnose asthma in such little patients. But they seem to be treating her like it is asthma and they want me to continue giving her allergy medicine as well.

Sadie's has a nebulizer too and I have found that when she is asleep it is the best time to give it to her. She won"t sit still for her's either. I love watching your babies grow up.

The doctor suggested I do it when she is asleep. I will try that tonight. I need to give her one more treatment tonight.

If you still have my e-mail address I would love to see a recent picture of Sadie and to hear how she is doing!

oh that breaks my heart! We'll be praying that this last treatment works and she grows out of this quickly!

"Poor baby" is right. She has some mean allergies. We will definitely be praying for her and for y'all that this treatment works for her.

These pictures are unbelievable! Andrew had to have some breathing treatments awhile back and the machine is a penguin and we have that same mask and let me tell you that none of that made it any better for him. We literally had to hold him down to do it and it was terrible! Hannah is doing so well. I hope they help and she gets all better!

Christy,
Cameron used to have to use a machine like that. It does get easier especially when you can occupy them with a video or something. She now uses an inhaler. And now Irina has had to start breathing treatments. Alot has to do with the weather on how often. We keep a full stock of benedryl on hand. I know it is a scary thing (Cam had to have 2 hospital visits). But hopefully it will get easier for all of you. Can't believe how they are growing.
Miss you guys, Sandy

Angus has Asthma too, and they wouldn't diagnose it until he was three. Nebulizers are wonderful. They'll take care of anything breathing related. They're also awesome for allergies, and when she gets older you can ask for an inhaler for the allergies. It works for me!
