Below is the letter that we wrote to put at the beginning of our scrapbook. Most of the time you will see Dear Birthmother letters that are really long. Ours is short for two reasons - one - they told us to make it short - two- everything else we would say is on the next few pages of the book that contains the letter. Usually the Dear Birthmother letter covers the things about your life, your job, your home, your interests, your family and our scrapbook covers all of that so it would be rather redundant to have them read the letter and then turn the page to read it all again. Anyway, enough explanation here it is:
Hello,
Our names are Daniel and Christy. We have been married 31/2 years. Because of a medical condition we are not able to have biological children. We both love children and can't wait to be parents! We have always wanted a large family, so building a family through adoption is the best choice for us. This will be our first adoption, but it will not be the last.
This profile highlights the important things in our lives; our relationship with God, our relationship with each other, and our relationship with our families. We hope it gives you a small glimpse into our lives.
We want to thank you for taking the time to look at our profile. We know that placing your baby into an adoptive home is a very difficult decision. We know it takes a lot of sacrifice and selflessness on your part to make this decision and we admire you for seeking the best for your child. We hope that after viewing our profile you will see the love and care we are so ready and willing to offer your baby. We are praying for the blessing of adopting your child. We hope to meet you soon.
From our heart,
Daniel and Christy
This thing does not have spell check so if something is spelled wrong, sorry, but I wrote the original copy in Word and it does have spell check!

I guess this thing doesn't do paragraphs either - it had them when I was writing it but it didn't publish that way - oh well - you can probably figure out where a new paragraph starts!
I liked your letter. It made me want to give you one of my kids.
